LATEX AND DENIM, THE PERFECT PAIRING.
The denim shirt is a great item for layering with latex, and a staple item that most people have to hand in their wardrobe.
I love the contrast of these 2 fabrics and how a truly traditional material like denim, can be worn with something so new and emerging as latex. The light shade of this shirt really makes the shine of the latex underneath come to life!
Here I have paired the shirt with our latex essential t-shirt and latex cycling shorts. Of course you can always swap the shorts for some more modest black chinos if you only want to show a hint of latex within your outfit. Worn with the chunky black boots, I think this would be an amazing festival look.
Why not switch the black for a bolder colour if you are feeling daring? I would recommend solid scarlet red, the contrast of the red hue with the blue denim is stunning!
THE LATEX HOODIE FOR EVERYDAY WEAR.
If you are feeling a little bolder and want your latex to be the focal point of your outfit while not being ‘too much’, this latex hoodie is the perfect item.
Here I have paired our latex hoodie with some simple classic menswear items; the white t-shirt and faded black jeans. Both of these simple items really show the latex hoodie in all its glory. The white t-shirt is simple but effective at highlighting the shine of the latex, and the slight fade in the denim makes the rich black colour of the hoodie really pop.
And let's face it, we all know latex can become a little sweaty at times, so by wearing a cotton t-shirt under this hoodie, it will allow you to wear your latex for longer in comfort.
UNSURE HOW TO WEAR A VEST?
Ok, a latex vest is not the easiest one to wear, especially in the translucent black colour which is why I wanted to include it in this list!
The shade of this suede bomber jacket perfectly compliments the vest on a number of levels. The colours blend brilliantly together and the fabric contrast is amazing. I personally love mixing different textures in my outfits and this one is a winning combo for a menswear latex look! The tan belt and this shade of denim finish off the outfit perfectly.
If translucent is too much for you (especially in public) this can easily be replaced with a black vest or even in the army green!
ZIP UP T-SHIRT.
There is something about this look that I absolutely adore.
The strong metal zip and sleek black latex contrasted against the light cotton (slightly crinkled) shirt. Another example that beautifully demonstrates my love for mixing textures and fabrics. In addition the zip and button mix really shakes things up!
I love to challenge peoples conceptions and ideas of what fashion is, and how to put an outfit together. This one is not something you may initially think to pair together, but thats why I love it.
